The Student Game Developer Association (SGDA) at the University of Texas at Dallas is known for hosting unique weekly events, each paired with a distinct, theme-driven, animated poster that was posted around campus physically and on social media platforms. Established by previous designers, this tradition of constant visual reinvention became a defining part of the organization’s visual identity.

As Graphic Design Officer from May 2022 to May 2024, I continued this approach while introducing a consistent visual system across posters and applying SGDA’s core brand colors to physical merchandise, creating a cohesive and recognizable identity across campus while preserving its tradition of bold, playful posters.

For the Animation Guild at UTD, I was brought on as a Graphic Design Officer to lead a rebrand focused on a brighter, more fun, and approachable identity. I retained and refined the existing logo for versatility and preserved its recognizable blue-and-yellow color palette.

To achieve this, I introduced vibrant backgrounds and playful, tactile elements inspired by traditional animation—such as sketching and paper textures—balancing a fresh, energetic tone with a sense of craft and history.

During the summer of 2022, I worked at the UTD Office of Admissions and Enrollment as a digital designer. During my time here, I learned about working within an established brand system and created several print and digital assets. The sticker sheet that I designed had over 10,000 copies printed and is still being used to this day!
